Katherin Machalek is Creative Director at New Media Advocacy Project (NMAP), a Brooklyn-based human rights nonprofit that produces video advocacy to strengthen human rights legal cases and campaigns and empower communities. She is also an MFA candidate in Integrate Media Arts at Hunter College—City University of New York. Since 2016, Katherin has been exploring the use of virtual reality and socially engaged gaming to reframe human rights narratives.
